US Recycling is western Nebraska’s premiere recycling center striving to promote a cleaner environment by reducing the amount of materials that are introduced into the landfills and road side ditches.

Reorganized in 2002 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit Nebraska Corporation, USR has increased recycling in western Nebraska by fifty to one hundred percent depending on location. USR collects and processes plastics, papers, newspapers, cardboard, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.  USR also provides volunteer hours for household hazardous waste collections, electronic waste collections, tire amnesty events and the city-wide clean up in Ogallala and surrounding communities.  USR provides free recycling to the public, recycling collection containers around Ogallala and provides a recycling center for various communities’ recycling programs.

The scrap metals market is strong and with the economic upturn, USR added an auto salvage yard in Sidney in September 2010.  USR has a solid partnership with Car-Part.com to market and broker used parts.  Please contact the Sidney yard if you are looking for car parts, we will be happy to assist you.

USR is very active in the Keep Keith County Beautiful and Keep Sidney Beautiful organizations.
